The next thing you know, you're waking up in your own bed. You blink a few times, still half asleep, when suddenly, you remember. You sit bolt upright, looking around. With the day you had yesterday, you feel as though something should be different. Nothing is though. 'Could it have just been a dream?' You wonder. Though the thought saddens you, because it is possible, even probable, that it didn't actually happen, you'll live. It's not like you've never had a ridiculous crush before… Sighing, you climb out of bed, getting changed out of your sweats and t-shirt and into a sweater and a pair of jeans. When you're dressed and ready to go, you walk out into your hallway, grabbing your snow pants and winter coat.
Once you have on a scarf and hat, and gloves in hand as well, and you're about to walk out the door, your mom calls out from a different room, "Where are you going, [y/n]?"
"Just going to see Jamie. I should be back before dark. If not, I'll call, okay?"
"Alright hun, have a good time! Say hello for me!"
"Bye Mom! Love you lots! See ya' later!" You step outside into the cold, and trudge through the high drifts of snow.
'It sure got a lot deeper…' You think as you frequently get stuck in the thigh-high snow banks. Finally, you make your way up to Jamie's front door, and ring the doorbell. His mom answers, smiling brightly when she sees you.
"Hello there, [y/n]. What can I do for you?"
"I was wondering if Jamie is still home?"
"Still home? The last time I saw him was yesterday when he went skating with you… I figured he was just sleeping over at your house again…" Worry lights across her face, and flashes through your brain. You pause, struggling to think of something that will ease her mind, and you blurt, "Oh, wait! I forgot that he said he was going to visit some of his guy friends, since he hasn't seen them in a while… Silly me!" You wink, laughing, but it's unconvincing. Mrs. Bennett doesn't seem to notice, though, and lets out a relieved sigh.
"Alright, well, if you know what house he's at, I'm sure no one would mind if you stopped by. Have a nice day, dear!" You thank her and she closes the door softly as you walk away. 'Well, I'm screwed,' you think as you walk aimlessly down the street. And that's when worst case scenarios start flashing through your head, giving you just enough time to register one before another dreadful thought replaces it.
Lost. Kidnapped. Murdered.
You start clomping faster through the snow, stumbling and falling multiple times. When you get to the forest, you scream, "Jamie! Jamie, please come out! Jamie!" You get no response, and you continue floundering, and tripping and falling, the snow getting in your hair and soaking your mittens and hat, though you bounce back up and continue on. Finally, exhausted from running as fast as you did all the way to the heart of the forest, you collapse into the powder, breathing hard. In one final attempt to be able to help your friend, and even though he may just be a figment of your imagination, you shout a single time with a hoarse voice, "Jack!" Moments later, most likely in a dream, a voice tinged with a hint of sadness softly says, "You sure do hate the cold, huh?"

Everlasting Snow: Chapter 33
Jingle.
You slowly open your eyes.
You smile.
“Hello there. Long time no see.”
Your little elven friend in teal smiles in response, his hat jingling with emotion.
He steps back a little as you swing your legs over the side of the bed, yawning.
You look around the room, concluding from your surroundings—and the elf—that you must be back at the North Pole.
You walk up to the open window, slipping on the thick, soft red robe that your friend held out to you. He stands beside you as you gaze out upon the scenery.
You sigh.
Even in times of trouble, the world can be so peaceful.
The sun is setting behind the mount

Everlasting Snow: Chapter 52
The sleigh skids to a stop on the lake’s surface, the skis leaving long white marks on the ice.
Above you, the tired stars begin to fade as the first light of day breaks over the horizon, giving themselves over to sleep until the night returns to reign once again.
North scoops the limp Jack back up into his arms, and the three of you wordlessly disembark from the sleigh.
You follow North off the lake, trying hard not to fall on the slippery surface. You breathe a small sigh of relief as you step onto the snowy bank, then continue after North, forced to jog a little to keep up with his long strides.
He stops in front of a tall tree w

Nipping at Your Nose [Jack Frost/Reader]
It was the night before Christmas, and as your mother tucked you into bed, her hushed voice floated through your bedroom as she sang. Her voice was gentle and as sweet as honey- you always loved listening to it. Her singing was the "best sound in the whole wide world" as you had put it.
"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose," Your mother sang the words softly as she layed the blanket over your body. Giggling, you swatted at her hand as she playfully tapped you on the nose. Humming the next few lines, your mother stepped through your mess of toys and books laying on the floor, reaching to pick them up and put th
