When the blindfold of sand is finally pulled off of your eyes, you're on a frozen tundra, your only "company" being Pitch.
"I'm not sure if Jack told you about the little deal he and I struck up here, but either way, I like reusing useful places." He flashes a secretive grin to go along with his ominous words. You don't even want to know what sort of deal he tried to make with your winter spirit. Maybe later you'll be curious about that, but for now, you need to know what he wants with you.
"Why did you need me so bad that you had to kidnap my friend?" You demand.
"Well, Jack's been keeping such a close eye on you, so that was the quickest way I could get to you," he begins to explain.
"That isn't what I asked," you glare.
Pitch sighs. "You're a stubborn one, aren't you? Very well, I'll get right to it then… I want you to be in a partnership with me."
"Why on earth would you want me for that?" You ask, confused.
"Because, my dear," he says with a sneer, "I can sense a darkness deep down within you, buried under artificial happiness. I've seen you laughing with your friends, or should I say friend, but wouldn't you rather be screaming, even fighting? Your other friends gave up on you, didn't they? After your daddy left, you shut them out. Only Jamie stayed. Oh, am I making you upset? Then is that darkness in your heart, your very core, sadness? Or is it anger, hatred, for the man who helped raise you, who you thought loved you?"
You stop shifting on your feet to keep warm. You stop plotting ways to escape. You stop breathing. Because he isn't wrong. You have always been burdened by your sorrow and resentment for your father. You loved him, and he had loved you and Mom… or so you thought. But when one day he just up and left, your pure happiness seemed to leave with him. Not all of it. Not even close. But some. And that was enough to make, yes, your hatred, clear. And Pitch Black, the king of nightmares, knows this. So what could he possibly want with this knowledge?
Your thought process is broken when his voice interrupts your frantic mind, yet again. "So [y/n], what do you think? … Do you want to join me? I can get you what you desire… To see your father one last time, and tell him how you feel. It would require hardly any, maybe even no effort on your part. You can have all that you desire…"
Your mental walls are breaking down. Your brain is trying to reconstruct them, but your heart wants so badly to be able to see, confront [father's name]. You want to know why he left you. "We… We would just be talking, right? You wouldn't harm him? Also… would… would I be able to back out on this deal?" You wonder, your voice hesitant.
"I wouldn't harm a single hair on his head. Scout's honor. And maybe. It depends on how far in you are..." Again, that hideous smile. But this is your chance. You won't have to wonder anymore…
"Al-alright. Now take me to him," you say.
"As you wish."
